This comprehensive course is designed to give healthcare providers a deep understanding of diabetes mellitus, its causes, diagnosis, and management, in line with the Kenya National Guidelines for the Management of Diabetes Mellitus.
The course covers the latest guidelines and evidence-based practices presented through online lectures and video presentations.
You are expected to complete all modules and take the quiz after each module before advancing to the next.
Upon successful completion, you will be issued with a digital certificate which you can use to claim CPD points from your respective regulatory body.
Course Outline:
The course is structured into 7 modules, namely:
Module 1: Introduction to T1DM
Module 2: Diabetes Ketoacidosis
Module 3: Insulin Therapy and Routine Care
Module 4: Nutrition and Type 1 Diabetes
Module 5: Hypoglycemia Recognition and Management
Module 6: Management of Type 1 DM in Special Circumstances
Module 7: Structured Diabetes Education in T1DM
Certification: You will be awarded a certificate at the end of the course after you meet the requirements below:
- Cover all the module content (video content or read through PDF files)
- Attempt end-of-session quizzes and attain a minimum score of 70% for each quiz. You only have a maximum of 3 attempts per quiz
- Complete all the 7 modules.
Certificates shall be generated automatically on course completion and sent to your email.
