Purpose: The purpose of this module is to introduce learners to the principles of AMR surveillance monitoring and evaluation, and reporting.
Target audience: clinicians, veterinarians, laboratory professionals, epidemiologists, health records and information officers, and any other relevant professionals.

Define and describe components of AMR surveillance, and the challenges to effective AMR surveillance.

Describe data types collected and variables used in AMR surveillance.

Describe AMR surveillance data reporting tools and data flow from surveillance sites to Global Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System (GLASS).

Analyze AMR data and describe reporting and dissemination among various stakeholders.

Describe the integrated one health approach in AMR surveillance.

Describe the importance of utilizing surveillance data in program review, planning, advocacy, policy development, and decision-making processes.
