Welcome to the Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) eLearning Course!
Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) remains a significant public health challenge, particularly in high HIV-burden settings, where many individuals continue to present for care with severe immunosuppression. People with AHD are at an increased risk of life-threatening opportunistic infections and HIV-related complications, which contribute substantially to HIV-related morbidity and mortality. Early identification and appropriate management of AHD is therefore critical to improving patient outcomes and reducing preventable deaths. This eLearning course is designed to equip healthcare providers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to identify, diagnose, and manage Advanced HIV Disease, including the screening, prevention, and treatment of common opportunistic infections, in line with current global and national guidelines.
