Tailored specifically for the global health industry, this supply chain management course addresses the distinct demands of the field. It is designed to accommodate the diverse roles undertaken by health workers across various levels of the health supply chain. Health workers will be taken through crucial topics such as customer-centric service, Logistics Management Information Systems, Storage and distribution, and inventory management. These topics are presented in a manner that is directly relevant to the responsibilities of the participants within the health system. Phlebotomy is a common invasive procedure in medical practice, exposing healthcare workers to risks associated with blood and body fluids. Inadequate formal training in phlebotomy has resulted in increased numbers of NSIs and poor-quality samples. This course aims to train healthcare workers in safe phlebotomy in Kenya, covering blood collection, infection control, waste management, inventory management, and occupational exposure management. The need for this course was identified by the National Aids and Sexually Transmitted Infections Programme (NASCOP) due to the rapid scale-up of the HIV program and increased patient monitoring.Course Image by freepik
